Interesting fact
The Ducat 1651 from the City of Zurich is a rare and valuable coin, with only a few known examples surviving to this day. One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great turmoil in Europe, with the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) having recently ended and the English Civil War (1642-1651) taking place. Despite these conflicts, the City of Zurich was able to maintain its independence and continue minting its own coins, such as the Ducat 1651.
