This type has been attributed to an Alchon ruler named "Narana" or "Narendra", based upon interpretations of the legends by Gobl in 1967 and Alram in 1996/2000. However, a more recent 2012 museum exhibit, curated by Michal Alram and others, translates the legend of these relatively early specimens with more complete legends as follows: "His excellence, King Tora". The exhibit attributes this issue to Toramana II.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Standard circulation coin Drachm - Toramana II (Type 150.1) (530-570) from Alchon Huns (Hunnic tribes) made of Billon is that it features a unique blend of Greek and Hun influences in its design. The obverse side of the coin depicts a portrait of Toramana II, the Hun king, while the reverse side features the traditional Greek symbol of the owl, signifying wisdom and knowledge. This fusion of cultures reflects the complex history of the Hunnic Empire, which was formed through the union of various tribes and cultures.
