Interesting fact
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Alexander the Great, while the reverse depicts a seated Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, holding a spear and a shield. This coin was minted during Alexander's reign, and it's interesting to note that the image of Athena on the reverse was a common motif on coins minted by Alexander's successors, suggesting that she was an important symbol of his empire.
