Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, who ruled from 685 to 705 AD, on the obverse (front side), while the reverse (back side) bears the Arabic inscription "Allah uh Muhammad rasul Allah" (God is the only God, Muhammad is the messenger of God) and the mint name "al-Basrah" (Basra). This coin was minted during a time of significant cultural and religious exchange between the Arab and Persian empires, and its design reflects the blending of these two cultures.
