Interesting fact

The Drachm coin from Magnetes (Thessaly) was used as a form of currency during the reign of Julius Caesar, and it features an image of the Roman goddess Venus on one side and a mythical creature called a "Krokala" on the other. The Krokala is a creature that is half-lion and half-eagle, and it was believed to have the power to protect the city from harm. The coin's design was meant to symbolize the city's allegiance to Rome and its protection under Caesar's rule.
