Interesting fact
The Drachm coin from Knidos (Caria) was used as a form of currency in ancient Greece and has a unique design. One side of the coin features a helmeted head of the goddess Athena, while the other side depicts a winged lion, which was a symbol of the city of Knidos. This coin was issued during the reign of the Athenian statesman and military leader, Pericles, and was used to pay for goods and services, as well as to finance military campaigns. Despite being over 2,000 years old, some of these coins have survived in good condition and are highly prized by collectors today.
