Comment
This coin was inspired both by the double tournois issued from January to December 1348 (Dy. 272) and by the coronet of Maine, from which it takes the motto of the counts, already used by John III around 1337.The ring in the crown appears with the 4th royal issue of end December 1348.
Variations of punctuation of the legends KAROLVS BRITAN and SIGNVM DEI VIVI. In the field of the right, presence or not of a ring in the oval of the crown, on the reverse, the cross-crossed can be accosted of points.
