Comment
Attributed to possibly two of three brothers (Kayka’us II, Qilij Arslan IV & ‘Ala al-Din Kayqubad II), 647-657 / 1249-1259 Kayqubad II did not issue any coins of his own.- Kayka'us II is also known as (AKA) 'Izz al-Din Kayka'us II (reign or ruled 1246–1260)
- Qilij Arslan IV is AKA Rukn al-Din Kilij Arslan IV (r. 1248–1265)
- 'Ala al-Din Kayqubad II (r. 1249–1257)
Their father, Giyath al-Din Kaykhusraw II, died in 1246. The sultanate split between the three brothers until 1260, when Arslan IV was the sole ruler.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of three different rulers, Kaya'us II, Qilij Arslan IV, and Kayqubad II, which is reflected in its unique design and inscriptions.
