Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Mas'ud, a local ruler of the Hamadan Sultanate, which was a branch of the Seljuq dynasty. The coin features the name of Mas'ud in the inscription, indicating that it was issued under his authority. This highlights the importance of local rulers in the history of the Islamic world and their role in issuing currency. Additionally, the fact that the coin is made of Billon, a copper and silver alloy, suggests that it was a widely used material for coinage during that time period.
