Interesting fact
The Golden Horde Dirham dated from 1260 to 1293 is one of the oldest coins in Islamic history. It is named after the Golden Horde, a Mongolian dynasty that ruled over vast territories in Asia and Eastern Europe. The obverse side of the coin features the circular inscription "Bilār Muhammad ibn Tughril," which means "Bilār, son of Tughril." This reference is to Muhammad Bin Tughluq, a Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate in India, who introduced this coin. The reverse side displays the traditional Islamic proclamation of faith, "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." This coin is made of 900 fine silver weighing 1.
