Interesting fact
The Diobol coin from the Kingdom of Odryssa (Thracians) was used as a form of currency during the 5th century BC. It was made of silver and weighed approximately 1.10 grams. Despite its small size, this coin played a significant role in the economy of the region and was used for everyday transactions. Its design featured the image of Metokos (ΜΗΤΟΚΟ) on the obverse side, which was a common feature on coins from this region during that time period.
