Interesting fact
The obverse side of the Dinomos coin features a unique image of a man riding a dolphin, which is believed to represent the mythical figure of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, fertility, and theater. This image was a symbol of the city of Metapontion's strong maritime trade and cultural connections to Greece.
