Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Didrachm - The Gamoroi coin from Syracuse (Sicily) is that it features a unique design on its reverse side. Instead of the usual depiction of a deity or a mythological figure, this coin bears an image of a dolphin, which was a symbol of the city of Syracuse. This design choice was likely meant to highlight the city's maritime connections and its importance as a trading hub in the ancient Greek world.
