Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique blend of ancient Greek and Persian design elements. The obverse (front) side of the coin depicts a bearded Persian king, possibly Pixodarus himself, wearing a royal diadem and a long, flowing robe. The reverse (back) side of the coin, on the other hand, features a traditional Greek design, with a nude Apollo standing on a rocky outcropping and holding a laurel branch and a lyre. This fusion of styles reflects the cultural exchange and influence that occurred between the Persian Empire and the Greek city-states during this time period.
