Interesting fact

The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of Aristoboulos, the ruler of Rhodes, while the reverse (back) side features a rose, which was a symbol of the island of Rhodes. The rose was also used as a symbol of the Rhodian naval fleet, which was one of the most powerful in the ancient world. This coin was used as a means of payment for the crew members of the fleet, and it's believed that the rose symbol was used to represent the fleet's power and dominance in the Mediterranean Sea.
