Comment

Possibly a later restrike with the original dies, executed by Leodegar Corragioni d'Orelli, Treasurer of the Republic of Lucerne between 1856-1860, Director of the Bank of Lucerne between 1860-1890, and President of the Bank of Lucerne between 1891-1900. Leodegar Corragioni d'Orelli was a notorious numismatist, author of "Münzgeschichte der Schweiz" in 1896 [1].

Between two and four pieces known [1].

Some coins exhibit significant traces of the obverse die on the reverse and vice-versa.

Interesting fact

The Pattern Dicken (Restrike) ND (1856-1900) from City of Lucerne made of Copper weighing 7.43 g is a rare and valuable coin. It is interesting to note that the coin was restruck, meaning it was minted again at a later date, which can affect its value and authenticity. Additionally, the coin's weight of 7.43 grams is relatively heavy for a coin of its size, which could make it stand out among other coins.
