Interesting fact

The Denier - Sobeslaus I ND (1125-1140) coin from the Kingdom of Bohemia is interesting because it was made of Billon, a metal alloy that was commonly used in medieval Europe for coinage. Billon is a mixture of silver and other metals, such as copper, tin, or lead, and was used to create a silver-like appearance while reducing the cost of production. The use of Billon in coinage during this period reflects the economic and technological advancements of the time, as well as the desire for durable and reliable currency.
