István Anjou was born on 20.08.1332 as the youngest son of Károly Róbert. He received the title of Prince of Slavonia, Dalmatia and Croatia from his brother Lajos I. He died on 09.08.1354 in Zagreb. The unique coin was probably minted by Pál Ugari Bán.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was made of silver, which was a valuable and durable material that was often used for coins in medieval Europe. The use of silver in coins was a sign of the coin's value and authenticity, and it helped to prevent counterfeiting. Additionally, the fact that this coin was made of silver suggests that it was likely used for large transactions or as a store of value, rather than for everyday purchases.
