Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during the reign of Charles III, who was also known as Charles the Simple, and was the last Carolingian king of West Francia. Despite being made of silver, the coin was not worth much during its time, with its value being equivalent to only a small fraction of a modern-day euro.
