Interesting fact

The reverse side of the coin features a depiction of Laetitia Temporum, which is a personification of the happiness of the times. This image was a common motif on Roman coins during the reign of Septimius Severus, and it was meant to promote the idea that the emperor's rule was bringing prosperity and happiness to the empire.
