Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of Octavian, who would later become the Roman emperor Augustus, on the obverse (front side), while the reverse (back side) bears the inscription "CAESAR DIC PER", which stands for "Caesar dictator perpetuus", indicating that Octavian held the position of dictator for life. This coin was minted in 42 BC, just a few years before Octavian's death and the end of the Roman Republic.
