Comment
The gens Minucia was a Roman family, which flourished from the earliest days of the Republic until imperial times. The gens was apparently of patrician origin, but was better known by its plebeian branches. The first of the Minucii to hold the consulship was Marcus Minucius Augurinus in 497 BC. The nomen Minucius is frequently confounded with Minicius and Municius.Interesting fact
The Denarius coin was minted during the Roman Republic, a time when Rome was still a republic and not yet an empire. The coin features the image of a Roman warrior, likely a representation of the Roman god of war, Mars. The inclusion of this image symbolizes the importance of military power and victory in Roman culture during this time period.
