Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Dekadrachm coin from Syracuse (Sicily) is that it features a unique combination of two different artistic styles: the obverse (front) side features a portrait of Dionysius I in the style of classical Greek art, while the reverse (back) side features a depiction of the Greek goddess Arethusa in the style of indigenous Sicilian art. This blending of styles reflects the cultural exchange and fusion that occurred during the time period in which the coin was minted.
