Interesting fact
The Chalkon coin was used as a form of currency in the ancient Greek city-state of Sikyon, which was located in the northern Peloponnese region of Greece. The coin features an image of a horse on one side and a mythological creature called a Chimera on the other. The Chimera was a symbol of the city's power and wealth, and it's believed that the coin was used for both local and international trade. Despite being over 2,000 years old, some Chalkon coins have been well-preserved and are highly sought after by collectors today.
