Interesting fact
The Chalkon coin was used in the ancient city of Ilion (Troad) during the 2nd century BC. Despite being made of bronze, which was a common material for coins at the time, the Chalkon coin was unique in that it had a very small weight of only 2 grams. This made it one of the lightest coins in circulation during that period.
