Comment

These bronzes are rare and often badly struck. The preparation of the flan of this copy is curious, with a rim on the right while the surface of the reverse is very flat.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Bronze EKPITO coin from Lingones (Gallia Celtica) is that it features a unique combination of Celtic and Roman elements. The obverse side of the coin depicts a stylized horse, which is a common motif in Celtic art, while the reverse side features the Roman goddess Victory, indicating the influence of Roman culture on the Celtic tribes of the region. This blending of cultural styles reflects the complex history of the period, during which the Roman Republic was expanding its territories and interacting with neighboring cultures.
