Interesting fact
The Aureus - Pertinax (CONSECRATIO) coin was minted during the reign of Emperor Pertinax, who was the first Roman Emperor to be assassinated. He ruled for only 87 days before being killed by his own soldiers in 193 AD. Despite his short reign, Pertinax made significant reforms to the Roman Empire, including debasing the currency to increase its availability and stimulate trade. The Aureus - Pertinax (CONSECRATIO) coin, made of gold, was one of the coins minted during his reign and features an image of the Emperor on one side and the goddess Victory on the other.
