Interesting fact

The Aureus coin featuring Marcus Aurelius, which was minted in 163-164 AD, was used as a means of payment for Roman soldiers during their military campaigns. It was also used for trade and commerce, and its value was equivalent to 25 silver denarii. Despite being made of gold, the coin was not as valuable as other coins minted during the Roman Empire, as the gold content was only about 7.3 grams. However, its historical significance and rarity make it a valuable collector's item today.
