Interesting fact
The Aureus - Galba coin was minted during the reign of Emperor Galba, who ruled the Roman Empire from 68 to 69 AD. It features an image of Roma, the personification of Rome, on one side, and Victory on the other. The coin was made of gold and weighed 7.7 grams, which was a significant amount of gold at the time. Interestingly, the Aureus - Galba coin was part of a series of coins minted by Galba to celebrate the rebirth of Rome, which he declared during his reign. The coin's design and inscription, ROMA RENASCENS, reflect this theme of renewal and rebirth. Despite being minted over 2,000 years ago, the Aureus - Galba coin remains a valuable and sought-after collector's item among numismatists today.
