The Aureus - Galba coin was minted during the reign of Emperor Galba, who ruled the Roman Empire from 68 to 69 AD. It's interesting to note that Galba was the first emperor to issue coins with his own image, breaking the tradition of depicting the goddess Roma on the obverse (front) side of the coin.
