Interesting fact

The Aureus - Caracalla coin was minted during the reign of Emperor Caracalla, who ruled the Roman Empire from 211 to 217 AD. The coin's obverse side features an image of Caracalla's laureate head, while the reverse side depicts the Roman goddess Victory holding a trophy and a shield with the inscription "VOTA SOLVT DEC COS III" which means "I have fulfilled my vows, consul for the third time". This coin was made of gold and was used as a standard circulation coin during that time. It's interesting to note that the coin's design and inscription reflect the political and religious beliefs of the Roman Empire during that period.
