Interesting fact

The Antoninianus coin , which features Philippus II (also known as Philip the Arab) on the obverse and the Roman goddess Victory on the reverse, was minted during a time of significant economic and political change in the Roman Empire. The coin's silver content was actually decreased during Philip's reign, from 50% to 40%, in an effort to combat inflation and stabilize the empire's economy. Despite this change, the coin remained a widely used and highly valued form of currency throughout the empire.
