Interesting fact
The Antoninianus coin , which features Gordian III and the inscription "VICTORIA AVG," was minted during a time of great turmoil in the Roman Empire. Gordian III was the last Roman emperor to issue coins with the traditional Roman imperial iconography, before the empire was divided into two parts: the Western Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. This coin, therefore, represents a significant transitional period in Roman history.
