Interesting fact

The Antoninianus coin, which was issued during the reign of Gallienus (260-268 AD), was the first Roman coin to feature a portrait of the emperor on the obverse (front side) and a deity on the reverse (back side). This was a departure from the traditional Roman coinage design, which typically featured a portrait of the emperor on both sides. The inclusion of a deity on the reverse side of the coin was a nod to the growing influence of paganism in the Roman Empire during that time.
