Interesting fact
The Angster ND (1424) coin from the City of Zurich was made of silver, which was a common material used for coins in the 15th century. However, what makes this coin unique is that it was one of the first coins to feature a depiction of the city's patron saint, St. Felix, on one of its sides. This image of St. Felix has been a symbol of Zurich's currency ever since, and it continues to be featured on the city's coins to this day.
