Interesting fact

The Pattern 8 Skilling coin was minted during the reign of King Frederik IV of Denmark-Norway, who ruled from 1699 to 1730. The coin was part of a series of pattern coins minted during his reign, which were intended to test new designs and metallic compositions. The Pattern 8 Skilling coin features an image of the king on one side and the Norwegian coat of arms on the other. It is considered a rare and valuable collector's item, with only a few examples known to exist.
