Interesting fact
The 8 Skilling coin from Norway, minted during the reign of King Frederik IV (1700-1702), features an error in the inscription on the obverse side. The coin was intended to have the Latin phrase "FREDERICUS IV D.G. REX DANIÆ" (Frederick IV, by the grace of God, King of Denmark), but due to a mistake in the engraving process, the word "D.G." (Dei Gratia, meaning "by the grace of God") was accidentally omitted. This error makes the coin particularly rare and valuable among collectors.
