Host coin Peru KM#A64.2A decree on September 28, 1868 ordered all worn, Spanish-American, 1 and 2 Real (and few 4 and 8 as well) milled coins counter-stamped with one of these marks, to distinguish them from debased Spanish Provincial coins.
