Interesting fact

The 8 Reales coin from Guatemala, minted in 1839, is interesting because it was issued during a time of political turmoil in the country. Guatemala had gained independence from Spain in 1821, but it wasn't until 1839 that the country officially adopted the 8 Reales coin as its national currency. This coin was used widely throughout Guatemala until 1871, when it was replaced by the Guatemalan peso. Despite its long usage, the 8 Reales coin remains a rare and valuable collector's item today.
