Interesting fact
The 8 Reales "Maria" coin from Spain, minted during the reign of Charles II (1686-1699), was known as the "dollar of the Spanish colonies" and was widely used in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. It was also the first coin to bear the image of a monarch, King Charles II, and was named after his wife, Queen Maria Luisa.
