Interesting fact
The 8 Reales coin from Bolivia, minted during the reign of Charles III (1767-1770), was the first coin to feature the iconic Bolivian symbol, the potosi eagle, on its reverse side. This eagle, which is still featured on the country's coat of arms today, represents the rich mineral deposits of the region and has become a symbol of Bolivian identity and pride.
