Interesting fact

The 8 Maravedis coin from Philip IV's reign (1661-1664) was minted in the city of Coruna, Spain, and features a unique design element - a small shield with the letters "S" and "F" on either side of the coat of arms, which stands for "Santiago" and "Felipe," respectively. This was added to commemorate the victory of the Spanish army over the Dutch at the Battle of the Downs in 1639.
