Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the Doggi Biennali, a period of two years when the Republic of Genoa was ruled by a council of 400 nobles, known as the "Doggi." This coin was minted in 1556-1633 and was made of Billon, a type of alloy that is composed of a mixture of metals, typically copper, silver, and sometimes gold. The coin weighs 0.8 grams and has a standard circulation design.
