Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design element - a small shield bearing the coat of arms of Scotland, which was added to the reverse side of the coin. This was the first time that a Scottish coat of arms had been included on an English coin, and it was a nod to the growing sense of Scottish national identity during the 17th century.
