Interesting fact
The 6 Livres 15 Sous coin from Saint Lucia, minted in 1813, is interesting because it was one of the first coins to feature a portrait of a British monarch, King George III, on a foreign coin. This was a result of Saint Lucia being a British colony at the time. The coin also has a unique design, with the king's portrait on one side and a crowned shield with the coat of arms of Saint Lucia on the other. Additionally, the coin was made of silver, which was a valuable and durable material at the time, and it weighed 15 grams, making it a substantial coin.
