"2233 AR 6 dirhams (6.48g), type A (plain heptagon / hexagon, looped at the corners), struck 739-740
R [Rare]
Type A was struck at many mints throughout Iran, but not in the northeast (Khorasan and adjacent provinces), which employed different designs and monetary weights (#2240 ff). The date in words appears beneath the ruler’s titles within the heptagon. Only the double dirham of type A is common. The 6-dirham type was struck at mints in Fars and Kirman provinces."
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Taghay Timur, who was a powerful Mongol emperor in the 14th century. He was known for his military conquests and his ability to unite various tribes and territories under his rule. The coin's design and inscriptions reflect the cultural and religious influences of the time, and it is considered a valuable piece of history for numismatists and collectors.
