Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Non-circulating coin 5000 Rupee (Central Bank) 2010 from Sri Lanka is that it features an image of the sacred Bo Tree, also known as the Anuradhapura Sacred Bo Tree, which is a historical tree in Sri Lanka that is considered sacred by Buddhists. The tree is said to have been planted in 249 BCE and is believed to be a sapling from the original Bodhi Tree in India where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The inclusion of this image on the coin highlights the cultural and religious significance of the Bo Tree in Sri Lanka.
