Interesting fact

The Diósgyőr Castle coin's design was inspired by a medieval fresco found in the castle's chapel, which depicts the legend of St. Ladislaus, the king who defeated the Cumans. The coin's reverse side features the king on horseback, surrounded by Cuman warriors, while the obverse side bears the coat of arms of Hungary and the inscription "MAGYARORSZÁG" (Hungary) in bold letters.
