The 1985 Polish 500 Zlotys coin commemorating the 40th anniversary of the United Nations is a unique piece in that it features a rotating globe on its obverse side. This design element was created using a special technology that allowed the globe to rotate freely when the coin was turned, giving the impression of a 3D effect. This feature was a first for Polish coins and added an extra layer of interest and collectibility to the coin.
