In 2020, intended to coincide with the launch of the new James Bond 007 movie No Time to Die, the Royal Mint released a special issue James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 £1000 Gold Proof coin struck in solid 999.9 fine gold weighing one kilogram. As it turned out, the movie launch was actually delayed due to the international Covid-19 pandemic.The coin was also struck in a variety of denominations and metals including copper-nickel, silver proof and gold proof. Issue limit: 70.
